School Rules

Rules and regulations are necessary as they maintain a conducive environment for learning. Keeping school rules and regulations hellp to develop self-discipline and a sense of responsibility which are essential qualities for success in life. School follows Zero Tolerance for bullying and violation of rules for cyber activities

Disciplinary Actions may be taken for any of the given below reasons-

Not in proper uniform and not wearing school ID card

Possession of fancy watches/fancy bands/electronic items

Instigating fellow students to bunk classes or activities.

Cheating in tests/exams

Repetitive late coming behaviour/frequent absence

Indulging in behaviour that causes damage to others

Causing damage to the school property.

Disruptive behaviour in classroom, dining area, bus, during assembly or at school events

Use of inappropriate language or tone while talking to teachers.

Bullying/Intimidation/Fighting/Theft/Forgery/Cyber crimes

Application of nail paints, keeping long nails

Not being well groomed (Boys having long hair and keeping beard/moustache or both) (Girls not tying their hair neatly in a ponytail/plait

Wearing soiled/wrinkled uniform or both to school.

General Conduct

Students should have good manners and show respect, care and concern for everyone to be a good example for their peers. Be polite and well behaved at all times. Greet all staff members and visitors to the school and show respect to the school authorities (Principal, teachers, non-teaching staff, and student leaders).

Take good care of school property and keep the premises clean and litter free.

Attendance and Punctuallity

It is mandatory for every student to have a minimum of 75% attendance.

Leave to be intimated to the teacher through application and entered in diary in advance.

Note:

Parents and students must plan trips only during the vacation as given in the academic calendar of the school.

Transfer Certificate (TC)-

Any request for TC must be sent one month in advance through handwritten application containing all details along with No-Dues clearance certificate from all authority. TC will be issued in accordance of rules prescribed by state/govt education protocoll.

School Fee-

All fee due will be submitted on quarterly basis and fee payment date will be by the 15th of the first month of the quarter.

15 April-April to June

15 July-July to September

15 October-October to December

15 January January to March

Disciplinary Procedure

Parents/Guardians will be informed through a letter/diary note when their child does not adhere to the rules of the school. Parents will need to acknowledge receipt of the letter/diary note.

Be a Skylarkian and avoid given below point-

Untucked shirts or blouses, not wearing trousers and skirts at waist level

Socks not above the ankle length

Long nails

Fancy jewellery

Dangling earrings

Application of gel to the hair

Use of facial make up, nail polish

Fancy hair cut (Boys and Girls)

Wearing sweaters or cardigans other than the prescribed colour and style

Wearing shoes other than that of school uniform

Not bringing the school diary to the school daily.

Repeated irregular submission of home work.

Not bringing text books or note books or equipment/accessory required for class
