Dussehra Assembly

Dussehra is the celebration of the victory of good over evil. In connection to the same thought, Skylark World School celebrated Dussehra on 3rd October 2022. The School organized a special assembly to celebrate our glorious heritage.

Children were beautifully dressed up to play the role of their favourite mythological characters. The pre-primary children shared the story of ‘Ramayana ‘ through a puppet show . Children also performed a dance number with great enthusiasm. The popular spiritual song for Goddess Durga AIGIRI NANDINI was beautifully sung by the children of pre- primary . The assembly culminated with the recitation of Dohas and Chaupai inspired by the lives of various characters of Ramayana. The effigy of Ravana was also burnt to celebrate the righteous victory of Lord Rama.

Gandhi Jayanti Assembly

Skylark World School celebrated Gandhi and Bahadur Shastri Jayanti on 1st October, 2022. The assembly began with a special tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri by the Principal and the Headmistress.

Yajat Vivaan of Class 1 shared the important events of Gandhi’s life. Aradhya Chaudhary of Class 3 and Aayat Matin Ansari of Class 5 spoke about the achievements of Gandhiji and his contribution in India’s independence struggle. The skit presented by the students of Class 4 and Class 5 depicted the ideology of Gandhiji. Students from Secondary classes presented a group song to pay homage to Gandhiji.

The Principal, Ms. Gunjan Mehrotra, motivated the children to absorb the teachings of Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastri in their lives.

The atmosphere was filled with a feeling of gratitude towards Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Celebration of Hindi Diwas

Today, on 14 September 2022, Hindi Diwas was organized with great enthusiasm in the premises of Skylark World School.

Students gave many presentations explaining the importance of Hindi language. Class 3 student Aaradhya Chowdhary eloquently told in her ‘speech’ that Hindi has made its mark in the world. Students of classes 6, 7 and 8 explained the importance of Hindi language through ‘Nukkad Natak’. Kartikeya Rai, a student of class 8, gave a lyrical presentation by memorizing the poem ‘Krishna’s warning’. The courtyard of the school was resounding with the sound of applause.

The Principal of the school Mrs. Gunjan Mehrotra boosted the morale of the students and gave guidance. An attempt was made to connect the students with their culture.

The students took a vow that they will always respect their official language and mother tongue Hindi.
